Case Study: Compliance with legal reporting requirements in critical infrastructures

With the IT Security Act in force since July 2015, operators of Critical Infrastructure are obliged to report operational disturbances within their control and telecontrol networks to the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). The relevant insights into the characteristics of a disturbance are often only found on the   content level of a data package. Previous security solutions such as firewalls or intrusion detection systems only scratch the surface. To implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy   a self-learning anomaly detection is needed.
