Rhebo receives the Best of Technology Award 2023 for its IIoT Security Solution

German industrial cybersecurity provider Rhebo is recognized as the 2nd place winner of the Best of Technology Award 2023. The company received the award in the category "IT & Cybersecurity" for its product Rhebo IIoT Security.

Leipzig/Munich, Germany, August 30, 2023 – Every year, the German business weekly Wirtschaftswoche honors the most innovative digital solutions for companies, institutions and organizations with the Best of Technology Award. The jury of leading minds from the business, science and research communities evaluates the solutions of the applicants according to their novelty value, customer benefits and key function for a flexible and technologized working world of tomorrow. Wirtschaftswoche, Capgemini, Fraunhofer ISI and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology head the selection process.

"We are honored to have been selected as one of the top 3 IT and cybersecurity solutions by the expert panel," said Head of information security at Landis+Gyr Todd Wiedman. "It proves once again the growing need for dedicated solutions for industrial environments, especially for devices and assets at the edge of infrastructures that are particularly exposed to cyberattacks."

Rhebo received the award for its Rhebo IIoT Security solution. The solution is the only intrusion detection system available on the market to date that enables vendors and operators of high-value (I)IoT assets, such as energy storage systems, EV charging stations, etc. to detect and mitigate both known and novel cyberattacks directly on edge devices.

Rhebo IIoT Security is tailored to the respective assets and deployed in close cooperation with the IIoT vendors. As an advancement of the Rhebo Industrial Protector solution for operational technology, the continuous security monitoring with anomaly detection detects cyber attacks and technical error conditions on the edge devices and (optionally) mitigates them locally via security automation. The local intrusion detection and protection enables companies to secure their entire IIoT fleet, as well as the central control system against lateral movements and spill-over effects.

The winners of the Best of Technology Awards 2023 received their awards on August 29 at the Handelsblatt Media Group Summer Camps at the Munich Urban Colab in Munich, Germany
