Leipzig/Berlin, February 28, 2023 - German industrial cybersecurity provider Rhebo GmbH and Germany's largest provider of control systems PSI Software AG sign a cooperation agreement to increase the cybersecurity of critical infrastructures. Rhebo will exclusively secure PSI control systems in the core zone via OT monitoring with anomaly detection as a Trusted IDS Partner. The cooperation enables PSI customers from the industrial and critical infrastructure sectors (especially energy supply) to also closely monitor the core zone, which is heavily segmented from the rest of the Operational Technology, and to protect it from disruptions caused by cyber incidents.

PSI customers now have the option of using Rhebo Industrial Protector to secure the core zone. This was previously only secured by a firewall. Rhebo's OT monitoring solution with anomaly detection monitors all communication that takes place within the PSI core zone in addition to the general operational technology (OT, e.g. network control technology, telecontrol technology, control technology). Deviations from the expected pattern are detected in real time and reported to the security officers. This allows cyber incidents that indicate compromise or misconduct of the control system core zone to be detected early and remedied immediately. PSI accompanies its customers during the implementation of the rhebo solution and ensures the individual adaptation of PSIcontrol so that any adaptations on the control system side and other aspects, e.g., appropriately adapted documentation, are created.
