Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is a special aspect of the Internet of Things (IoT) in industrial, automated environments. The IIoT focusses less on the integration of end customer data but on the connection of production, facility and logistics equipment with production control. The aim is the real-time analysis of operational and equipment data (industrial big data) to enable a flexible production control and to support other company processes like preventive maintenance and quality assurance.
