Spear Fishing
Spear Phishing is the targeted attack of a particular person to gain access to sensitive data like passwords, contact information of other persons in the company or other intelligence. This Phishing (neologism of fishing) of data is achieved by false but genuine looking E-Mails, websites, text messages or malware. Spear Phishing is a particularly sophisticated form of Social Engineering since it is planned and conducted very selectively and strategic. The Spear Phishing of managers or executives is also called Whaling.
