CIRED, the leading forum where the electricity distribution community meets, hosts the major international electricity conference and exhibition every two years at different locations in Europe with a global perspective and participation. In 2021, CIRED will be held purely virtually.

CIRED addresses, among other topics:

  • the entire field of electricity distribution systems and related services, including distributed and embedded generation issues
  • the technical aspects of electricity supply, related aspects such as cost reduction, environment, regulation, organization and related IT systems.

We explain the requirements for a comprehensive and efficient threat detection system to protect OT & IoT networks and devices against cyberattacks and technical error states. We share the lessons learned from OT monitoring and threat detection in energy companies. Finally, we introduce a 360° monitoring approach that ensures industrial cybersecurity on all levels of the energy supply - from the central control room to remote substations.

About Richard Stüber

As Sales Manager of Rhebo GmbH, Richard Stüber is responsible for consulting and supporting new and existing customers from the energy, critical infrastructure and industrial automation sectors. The qualified IT specialist for system integration was able to gain valuable experience in the last 3 years on the topics of cybersecurity, threat detection and network stability in industry and IoT and deepen his industry knowledge. Mr. Stüber studied Business Informatics at the University of Leipzig and graduated with a Master of Science in 2018.
